"Holler Back" first started as a joke in High School. Kids would yell, "Holler" down the school hallway, and you'd immediately hear, "Holler Back" from the other side of the hallway. Gwen Stefani's, "Hollaback Girl" was a huge hit at the time. Just a teenager, I wanted to sound a little less like the song, and a little more like myself. So, when I said it, "Holler Back" sounded a little more nerdy. Well, I accepted the nerdy-ness of it all, I went with it, dove in hard and created these shirts. "Holler" on the front, and "Holler Back" on the back. I sold the first Holler Back T-shirt while in High School. Once it caught on, dozens were sold each month. I went on to college at the University of Central Florida and have worked in Entertainment at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Disney Cruise Lines Busch Gardens, Tokyo Disney Resort, and School of Rock. I've ended up selling hundreds to co-workers and fellow students. The shirt itself has traveled the globe. From Central Florida, Chicago, Denver, and Los Angeles, to Bahamas, Canada, Tokyo, Hong Kong, to Singapore, Australia, the UK, London, and Paris, and the shirt has even been worn at the Playboy Mansion, Grand Canyon, Mardi Gras, Times Square here in the States.
